The latest update of the START website includes two new case studies, both of which address a possible mission in which astronauts explore a near-Earth asteroid:

Robotic Scouts for a Human Mission to an Asteroid examines the risk reduction that could be achieved by using robotic spacecraft to evaluate the suitability of target asteroids for a human mission.

Designing a Human Mission at an Asteroid looks at maximizing the science return and efficiency of a human mission to an asteroid by developing a system to determine the optimal number of sites to visit for sample-collection and the optimal number of samples to examine per site.
